| I've been in the humor business for a

| | through the use of humor. We all put
|
| long time, and I never get tired of
| |
| | smiles on people's faces in our own
|
| putting a smile on somebody's face, even
| |
| | unique way.Give a child a present at
|
| if it's just for a few seconds. The
| |
| | Christmas on his or her birthday, and
|
| sound of laughter is great. Being in the
| |
| | watch that child open that gift. The
|
| humor business started for my when I was
| |
| | child's face lights up...a big smile on
|
| eleven years old, and I've been at it
| |
| | that child's face! You get a warm
|
| ever since. (knock on wood)We all know
| |
| | feeling in your heart; maybe a lump in
|
| that laughter is the best medicine, and
| |
| | your throat, and a couple of glassy
|
| it has been humor that has helped me to
| |
| | eyes...right? It's a warm feeling you
|
| cope through me darkest days, and there
| |
| | have all over, and it nothing do to with
|
| have been many! Humor has been therapy
| |
| | humor, etc. It has to do with
|
| for me, and I use it though thick and
| |
| | giving!Mother's and father's know all too
|
| thin! Every time I put a smile on
| |
| | well, when a child brings a smile to
|
| somebody's face, it makes my day and
| |
| | their faces. When that child says that
|
| gives me a lift. I know I have done
| |
| | first word; takes that first step; takes
|
| something important to make someone happy
| |
| | that first wobbly bike ride, and starts
|
| and that's important to me.So, how does
| |
| | school, etc. The parents get that smile
|
| humor help me to cope? Example: I was
| |
| | and warm feeling all over!Aside from the
|
| in the hospital for about a week
| |
| | parents, school teachers, more than
|
| recently, and I was admitted to the
| |
| | anyone else, know the great satisfaction
|
| intensive care unit, with bleeding in the
| |
| | they get from seeing a student write that
|
| stomach. I was conscious and the medical
| |
| | first sentence; do that first math
|
| staff were doing tests, etc. After
| |
| | problem; and pass that first test. And,
|
| arrived, a nurse came into my room,
| |
| | that's why I think school teachers do
|
| carrying a clip-board, and she was going
| |
| | what they do...the gratification of it
|
| to ask me about 15 questions, so we got
| |
| | all. They deal with the students
|
| started.Every time she would ask me a
| |
| | everyday...up close and personal. But,
|
| question, I would answer it with a silly,
| |
| | everyone puts a smile on someone's face
|
| ridiculous answer in an attempt to make
| |
| | in their own way. For example:Farmers
|
| her laugh, and then I would follow up
| |
| | and ranchers put food on our tables and
|
| with a straight and serious answer, etc.
| |
| | that makes us happy, right? What would
|
| It was a little game I played with her,
| |
| | we do without the truckers and delivery
|
| and she seemed to enjoy it. The
| |
| | people who put that food on the table?
|
| questions and answers went something like
| |
| | Engineers who make our lives more
|
| this:Nurse: "Mr. Aragon, do you
| |
| | comfortable, and all of our useful
|
| smoke?"Jerry: "Only when I'm on
| |
| | gadgets. All the people who make all the
|
| fire!"Nurse: "Mr. Aragon, do you
| |
| | goodies we enjoy...bake goods, ice cream,
|
| drink?"Jerry: "Drink what? Carrot
| |
| | etc. The medical people who keep us
|
| juice, milk...what? No, I don't drink
| |
| | healthy. The transportation people who
|
| anymore...I don't drink any less,either!"
| |
| | get us from one place to another. And,
|
| (Gotcha!)Nurse: "Mr. Aragon, are you
| |
| | what would we do without the garbage
|
| allergic to anything?"Jerry: "Only to a
| |
| | people who make us happy, when they take
|
| nosey nurse, who keeps asking me dumb
| |
| | the garbage away, and keep insects from
|
| questions and won't let me get a little
| |
| | spreading disease. The construction
|
| restwhile I'm on my death bed!"Nurse:
| |
| | people who built our houses, apartments,
|
| "Mr. Aragon, do you have any pain?"Jerry:
| |
| | and work places, etc. Were you happy
|
| "Yes, I have a pain in the butt, and
| |
| | when you moved into that new house?
|
| guess who's causing it?"The nurse had a
| |
| | Retailers, service people, financial
|
| great sense of humor, and we had a good
| |
| | people who help us in so many different
|
| time! Anyway, the questions and answers
| |
| | ways, and the list goes on and on!I
|
| went something like that. I remember one
| |
| | worked for an engineering company for
|
| question when I managed to have the nurse
| |
| | over ten years. And, if there is a piece
|
| in "stitches," get it?" Stitches!
| |
| | of metal on the table; wire; epoxy; glue;
|
| Hospital...nurse...surgeon..HELLO! (I
| |
| | wire mesh, it wasn't much by itself.
|
| wonder why so many people think my humor
| |
| | But, put all these things together and
|
| is so dry and off the wall) After the
| |
| | now you have measuring devices that do
|
| questions and answers, the nurse
| |
| | research on: earthquakes; volcanoes;
|
| disappeared for the rest of the day.Late
| |
| | hurricanes; lightning; flood control;
|
| in the afternoon, and before the day
| |
| | airline safety and on and on. And, when
|
| shift was over, the nurse came back into
| |
| | I worked in engineering, I always felt I
|
| my room, and gave my a big hug! "What
| |
| | was contributing to make things better
|
| was THAT for?" I asked. "That's for
| |
| | for humans, animals, and the
|
| making me laugh this morning and making
| |
| | environment!So, people in America share
|
| my day," she said. The big hug made my
| |
| | and give of themselves in every
|
| day, too! And, this is an example of how
| |
| | occupation and profession. Everyone has
|
| humor helps me to cope, and sometimes
| |
| | something to share, give, and contribute
|
| under serious conditions like being in a
| |
| | to make things better in America.
|
| hospital.Nobody has cornered the market
| |
| | Everyone has a passion that makes that
|
| on humor, not the most powerful or
| |
| | person happy, and hopefully that passion
|
| wealthy person on earth. All of us have
| |
| | makes others happy as well.My passion
|
| made sombody laugh at one time or
| |
| | just happens to be humor, and I take it
|
| another, and we all know how great it
| |
| | everywhere I go. Humor for me, is not an
|
| feels. The gratification from putting a
| |
| | 8 to 5 job...it's 24/7! I work all
|
| smile on someone's face cannot be
| |
| | holidays and never take any time
|
| measured. And, it doesn't have to be
| |
| | off...and, I love it!
